This position is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of technology and infrastructure plans, architecture, and applications for this established .com.

Required Skills:

Responsibilities:

• Research, design and direct the implementation of state-of-the-art applications and database technologies to support the client's products and services.
• Ensure that architectures and applications can be applied efficiently to all .com product lines with minimal re-engineering or customization.
• Ensure that investments in technology are appropriate to developments in the industry and represent a fair return to the company.
• Plan and direct the web hosting requirement, involving the technical administration of servers and infrastructure and ensure their ongoing technical support.
• Oversee systems development, quality assurance and test server deployment configurations.
• Manage and work closely with network administrators, operators and internal customers, vendors, and business partners and service providers.

  Required Skills/Experience:

  • A minimum of five years of technology experience with prior hands-on work experience in applications development, networking, and system administration.
  • Networking certifications preferred with a strong background in network topologies, design, protocols (TCP/IP, IPX, SNA, AppleTalk, etc.), and a strong desire to stay attuned with technology.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in a web hosting environment to include operations and infrastructure.
  • Language and applications proficiency should include Flash, Javascript, ASP, HTML, C++, C, and PLSQL.
  • Oracle, SQL Server. UNIX (Sun Solaris) and Mac networking experience required.
  • Prior management/supervisory experience essential, as are strong communication, interpersonal and project management skills.
  • Undergraduate degree required (Computer Science, MIS, Business or related concentration). Graduate degree preferred.
  • Minimal travel required
