Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the identification and development of business process changes and improvements for our Logistics Department. This requires analysis, justification, and planning of those opportunities as well as the configuration (4.6 and beyond), testing, and documentation of the requisite system changes
Stay well informed of software developments and technology trends
Thorough understanding of business processes as well as a strong background in the integration points with the other SAP modules.
Act as liaison between the business community and IS for the alignment of business & technology goals in Logistics.
Participate actively as a SAP team member by passing on business experience and technical expertise to other team members in a cooperative team environment
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Provide first hand knowledge of native RF and the transportation planning aspects with specific emphasis on freight
Develop positive working relationships with the Business Organization (liaison between the Logistics Department and SAP)
Communicate effectively and credibly with all organizational levels, with the ability to gain trust, draw out needs, creatively propose ideas, and immediately and expertly resolve conflicts and concerns
Gather and document Business Requirements and opportunities for Business Process Improvement
Support Change Requests, including the justification of a Business Case when necessary, and align with overall business and technology goals and objectives
Assemble and conduct unit test before release from Development Environment
Responsible for testing (unit and integration) the solution before release to Production, including submission of appropriate integration test specifications
Maintain awareness of software product developments and trends in technology and determine if and how they can be used to enhance productivity
Education & Experience:
BS/BA, MBA desirable
Minimum 5 years in a Logistics business environment conducting business analysis, requirements definition, problem solving in an aggressive sales driven distribution environment. Preferably some experience with an electronics reseller.
Minimum 2 years broad experience with SAP R/3 Logistics Execution System (4.6) / Warehouse Management configuration in areas such as Put-away, Inventory Management, Physical Inventory, Picking, Packing, Deliveries, Transportation Planning, etc. Minimum two full implementations or upgrades required and one preferably in 4.6 version. Knowledge of ABAP, debugging skills, and ability to write code a plus
Experience with change management and project management as it relates to the functional team.
Above average organizational skills
Highly articulate in both verbal and written communication
